Horatius was an artisan café and venue in San Francisco featuring an indoor/outdoor seating area, and an open-air warehouse space for events, rare antiques and artifacts, and specialized packaged goods. Horatius was a Roman hero credited for saving Rome, so the concept behind the logo leverages a custom shield and regal typeface to signify the nobility and strength in the venue and brand products. 

 

Tactical applications included the design of business cards, stationary, a wordpress website, menus, packaging, and indoor/outdoor signage .
